Don’t Be Made a Fool With Best Seller Relatinship Books
Posted by: Trent in RelationshipsIf you just have suffered a breakup you may be looking for a relationship book right now? There are thousands of books on relationships so how do you find the best? In this article, I will show you how to choose the best books on relationships. And the answer will surprise you.
Keep reading…don’t let fancy letters after an author’s name fool you. There are many people who find school to be a convenient escape from real life. Instead of socializing with people they spend their time in the library or the classroom. As a result, they end up with a lot of letters after their names when they hit age 35. They use their degrees to indicate that they have “expert knowledge” of a situation. But does their expertise work in the real world?
Look for books where the authors have gone through the same situation that you have, they can speak from experience. Either they have got their ex back or they have helped friends who have. These aren’t therapy patients that come in for the “fifty minute hour” either. These relationships are those of people the author cares deeply about. The next step is to find books that don’t just say work on yourself for the next 30 days.” This is all most “save your relationship” or “get your ex back” reports say. Many of the ebooks on the market turn that concept into 50 page documents. These are just pieces of fluff and don’t deserve your attention – or your money. Look for a book that will provide you with information friends can’t seem to give you.
Will the book teach you what women crave most of all? Will it give you a step by step guide for how to give it to her? Will the book give you steps on how to recover from an affair? Will it teach you how to get relief from all the pain you are experiencing?
Finally, look at who is recommending the book. Are the examples a little bland? Were they written by the author’s brother and second cousin? Pick books that come talk about various situations from a wide variety of people. If it looks like both a guy from England and a newly engaged woman from Kansas have used the book, chances are it will work for you. There are so many relationship books out there. Unfortunately, most of them are drivel because they weren’t written by someone in the trenches. As a result, they have generic advice that could be best summed up in a paragraph or two. The book really won’t be that great for you if the recommendations are too generic.
Finding a book that’s perfect for you may take some time and effort. Relationships are work and they do require investing time and a little money, finding the best book is worth it right?
